Co-organizers are encouraged to participate in any of the following ways:
– Table at the event with their organization
– Staff the registration table, the sanitation stations, any of the checkpoints
– Distribute face masks & encourage social distancing
– Distribute water
– Have their logo/name on the flyer
– “Co-host” the facebook event with their organization’s facebook page
– Add their organization’s name to the list of co-organizers/sponsors
– Make a donation to Jordan’s fund on behalf of their organization
– Contribute to the prize pool
– Compete in the event
– Attend organizing meetings via encrypted audio or video chat / join the signal chat
– Vote for best halloween costume
– Bring political banners, signs, and halloween decorations
– Promote the event
Co-organizers are *highly* discouraged from engaging in the following behaviors:
– Speaking to corporate media or law enforcement for any reason. Please alert the police/media liaison if you are approached.
– Posting photos or videos without blurring attendees’ faces & tattoos, unless explicit informed consent is given.
– Soliciting any personal information (legal names, addresses), with the exception of circulating email lists.
– Policing the activity of any attendees. If you see something that makes you uncomfortable, walk away.
– Relying on narratives of “innocence” to justify their support. Our solidarity will not discriminate on the basis of legality or respectability politics. Only the State is guilty.
